UX Design Lead

About the role:

Salesfloor is currently seeking a talented UX Design Lead to join our team and help us take Salesfloor to the next level. Reporting to the VP of Product Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing UX elements at all stages of the development cycle. From onboarding major retailers to product features and enhancements. Your number one goal is to ensure that Salesfloor’s products are easy to use, visually stunning, and highly engaging for our users. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the product and development teams, and other internal stakeholders to build storyboards, proof-of-concept mockups, demos, and prototypes
  • Own the UX and design of our mobile and desktop applications
  • Take initiative on uncovering and implementing UX/UI improvements and enhancements across the current platform
  • Produce user interface design elements to bring features and products to market
  • Conduct ongoing research of user interface development best practices
  • Conduct usability tests, task analyses, surveys, and focus groups
  • Create wireframes and prototypes for testing and quick customer feedback
  • Interact directly with dev to define application workflows, screen layouts, and respond to questions
  • Interact directly with the retail services team and even the retailer themselves to understand and execute projects as needed
  • Help to establish design guidelines for future product developments
  • Provide creative consultation & solutions for a variety of interactive design related requests
  • Champion user experience within the company
  • Potential to build and manage a design team


  • 3 – 5 years of UX/UI experience designing for mobile (iOS/Android) web, tablets and email templates
  • Ability to design layout/UI storyboards and process flow charts and diagrams
  • Ability to annotate designs and UI for development (in CSS or other formats)
  • Ability to understand technical implementations and limitations
  • Prior experience in prototyping techniques and user-centred design principals on commercially available products
  • Portfolio of shipped products
  • Prior experience performing user interviews and product testing
  • Proven experience using user research methodologies and creating documentation
  • Proven ability to present concepts and ideas to stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced, innovative environment
  • Education in Graphic Design or Human Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience
  • Deep comfort with current design tools (Sketch, InVision, Zeplin), responsive web design standards, and a variety of front-end frameworks (Bootstrap, Angular, etc.)
